Survey "Smoke Test" is live! (Only sent to a few of you)

Hey all! The Backerkit Survey is almost ready to go out, which is where you'll confirm your rewards, order any additional books and goodies you might want, and give us your shipping address!

The last test before sending out the final Survey is a "Smoke Test" sent to 5% of you, just to ensure there are no issues we are unaware of! This means that a small number will have received the official Survey as of my sending this update, while the rest of you will be receiving it in the coming days after we're sure there are no issues with the test!

Basically: some of you have the Survey now, and the rest of you will have it very soon!

125k reached in the final hour of the campaign! Way to sprint to the end, everyone!!

Hey all! Bryce O'Connor here! 

Now that the Mother of Learning: ARC 1 campaign has wrapped, I wanted to give everyone a huge congratulations! While we certainly had high hopes for the Kickstarter, there is no way we could have expected such an outpouring of support for the book that it resulted in not only a total eclipsing of the 10k original goal, but also such a thorough smashing of our stretch goals that we literally had to add one!

On that note: another congrats on cracking the 125k stretch goal in the FINAL hour of the campaign!

We've been in touch with Flesh and Blood powerhouse artist Asur Misoa, and she's agreed to take on the back end sheet if we can schedule it! So not only are we getting Daniel Kamarudin's fantastic work at the front of the book, we're also getting art from a brilliant female creator that is sure to make some jaws drop! Samples of Asur's work are below, and I can personally attest to her communication and ability since she's been working on a Stormweaver project for me for the last couple weeks already!

Now for some less interesting news to all of you:

This Kickstarter has been awesome, but it has also been REALLY intense, so I am giving my team the rest of the week off from working on it so we can get a mental break and pivot back to other projects while we wait for the materials we need to come together. This won't slow down or delay the process at all, but it will help us make sure we don't burn out so that we can bring you other books like this moving forward at the same quality! As it stands, we're waiting for a few things, so it's a good time to take a break.

Speaking of things we're waiting for, here's a quick list:

• Front end sheet
• Back end sheet
• Interior illustration
• Map
• Final interior design
• Final hardcover cloth wrap

After that, we obviously need all the actual printed materials, like the books, illustrations, bookmarks, etc.

This list is nice because it shouldn't take too too long to gather everything, which means regular updates with new content for you guys via these Kickstarter Updates! Even when we don't have anything for a while, the A Mark of Kings backers we tell you we try to stop in every week or so anyway just to make sure yall know we're still on the ball!

Hey all! First off:

BACKERKIT SURVEYS GO OUT NEXT WEEK!!!

We wanted to have it out this week, but Backerkit recommends that we wait 14 days so that everyone has a chance to fix declined cards and the like!

Fear not, though, the survey will be coming at your faces next week, probably Tuesday/Wednesday!

NEW ART!

It's not much just yet, but we have the very first sketch of the front end sheet from Daniel Kamarudin! This is not final art, obviously, so don't worry about elements you might find odd! It's an ongoing editing process!

Admittedly we are a ways from the big 125k goal, but there's always hope! Regardless, thank you all so much for your support and the backing of this project! It's been a wild ride!

We've already commissioned all the additional materials necessary to go to print, including the end-sheet we've already unlocked, the interior illustration, and the map. Hopefully those will be done within the next 4 to 8 weeks, which means you guys will get updates here and there with fresh art! The custom-ink illustrations, too, will be ordered as soon as we have a list of characters people want commissioned!

All-in-all, we're comfortable calling this a wild success, and it's all thanks to all of you!

CONGRATULATIONS ALL!

With 100k reached, we have unlocked the spine foiling and dust jacket embossing of the hardcover version of the book!!! This is going to significantly improve the feel of the book in your hands and the look on the shelf!

Now, let's talk 125k.

It's a long way off with not a lot of time, but IF we get to 125k we will be commissioning a second artist to do a different, full-art, illustrated end sheet for the back of the book, adding even MORE art to the interior! We have a couple artists in mind, and will reach out to them shortly, but it would be awesome to have two completely different, stunning art styles inside the books!

For now, though, lets bask in the awesomeness of 100k! I say again, congrats to all!
